Winter Commute: Safely to the Site and Back
In winter the commute becomes a challenge. With a little planning you arrive safely and on time.
By company bus or carpool
We often organise transport to the site. Be on time at the pickup point and wear warm clothes. Drivers should be rested and keep the vehicle winter-ready: winter tyres, clear windows, lights checked.
Bus and train
Allow buffer time for delays. The Deutschlandticket costs €58 per month in 2025, and €63 is planned from 2026. Check whether it makes sense for you.
On foot and by bicycle
Be especially careful on ice. Bright clothing, lights on the bike and sturdy shoes with tread increase safety.
On black ice
Walk slowly with small steps. Use cleared paths. If you have an accident on your way to work, statutory accident insurance generally applies. Report the accident immediately.
Report delays
If you cannot arrive on time because of the weather, inform your foreman immediately.
