Winter Jobs from November 2026: Where the Work Is
There is work in Germany in winter too. Those who plan early find a job with accommodation more easily.
Where staff are wanted in winter
- hotels and hospitality in winter sports regions: kitchen, service, room cleaning;
- logistics and warehouses: Christmas trade, shipping, parcel centres;
- retail and packing before Christmas;
- winter maintenance and building cleaning.
What to know
- plan your winter commute, bring warm clothes and sturdy shoes;
- shift work at weekends and on holidays is common, with surcharges;
- fixed-term contracts often end in January or March.
Pay
Minimum wage 2026: €13.90 gross per hour. Surcharges for Sunday, night and holiday work can be tax-free (50, 25 and 125 percent).
