Two years of war against Ukraine: we stand with Ukraine

Two years ago Russia launched a full-scale attack on Ukraine. We condemn this war against a sovereign country and its people — as clearly today as on the first day.

For two years people in Ukraine have been losing their homes, their loved ones and their safety. Cities and villages are destroyed, families separated, millions forced to flee. Many stayed and keep life going under the hardest conditions.

Many people around us come from Ukraine. Their families, friends and neighbours remain in danger. Our thoughts are with them and with all people in Ukraine.

We recall our statement of 24 February 2022 and our post from last year. Our position has not changed: we condemn this war. We stand with Ukraine and with Ukrainians.
