Seasonal Staff for Spring 2026: Plan in Time
If you only start looking in April, you often get what is left. Early planning secures staff for the main season.
Determine demand early
Estimate how many workers you need per week and shift, and plan a 10 to 15 percent buffer for absences.
Legal essentials
- minimum wage 2026: €13.90 gross per hour;
- short-term employment: up to 3 months or 70 working days;
- record working time within 7 days and keep records at least 2 years;
- social insurance registration before work starts, in many sectors with an immediate notification (not in agriculture).
On-site organisation
Accommodation, travel and induction decide whether staff stay. Plan these points in.
Plan with a partner
A staffing provider handles selection, employment, accommodation and transport. At DLP24 workers are officially employed and posted, with valid documents for Europe.
